Beginners Salsa Courses

We offer quarterly Beginners salsa courses in Reading (Berkshire) where you will learn Cuban salsa and la Rueda de Casino in a friendly group. They will give you the opportunity to learn the essentials of this fun, sociable and energetic dance. Classes are held in a vibrant and friendly environment where you will discover your passion for salsa music & dance and will make you wonder why you didn’t try this before!

Progressive courses

Our courses are designed to provide you with a solid foundation of Cuban Salsa

No partner needed

Everyone gets paired up nicely and there are regular changes of partner throughout the class

Closed groups

Students get to know each other and learn & progress without interruptions of new people joining in

Our Levels

Choosing the right level is very important. Being in a class where you are not challenged enough won’t help you to move forward, but being in a class where the level is too high can discourage and stress you. If you have previous experience dancing Cuban salsa, please contact us so we can help you to choose the right level for you.

Beginners 1

Thursdays 6:45 – 7:35 pm

In this course you will improve your dancing by learning partner work combinations and La Rueda de Casino. This course is designed for those who:

have never danced salsa before

have done other types of salsa

have danced Cuban Salsa years ago and want to refresh their knowledge

Price: £ 109 / course (14 weeks) – starting 9th of January 2025

Beginners 2

Thursdays 9:15 – 10:15 pm

In this course you will improve your dancing by learning partner work combinations and La Rueda de Casino. This course is designed for those who:

have completed the Beginners 1 course

have solid foundations of Cuban Salsa (at least 4 months experience attending classes)

knows the basics of la Rueda (Dile que No, Dame, Enchufla/doble, Sombrero, Dile que Si, etc.)

Price: £ 126 / course (14 weeks) – starting 9th of January 2025

Limited spaces

Our aim is to create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and learns at their own pace. All our courses are structured and progressive, covering a syllabus of steps each week. To provide a good learning experience, all groups are closed (drop-ins not allowed) so students can learn and progress throughout the course without interruptions of new people joining in. Having closed groups also means getting to know each other and feeling more at ease!

We do our best to keep a balance of leaders and followers, for that reason in some cases may be a waiting list to join the course. Our recommendation is to contact us as soon as possible.
